Corrections Policy
If a factual statement is wrong, we want to fix it. Corrections are handled according to how much the error affects the meaning of the page.
What counts as a material correction?
A correction is material when it changes a date, definition, scientific statement, historical claim, source attribution or another fact that could meaningfully mislead the reader.
What usually does not need a correction note?
Spelling, grammar, formatting, clearer phrasing and minor navigation improvements can normally be fixed without a public correction note when they do not change meaning.
How we review a reported error
- Identify the exact statement and page.
- Check the claim against an appropriate source.
- Correct the page and any connected pages if the same error appears elsewhere.
- Update the modification date when the substantive content changed.
- Add a visible correction note when the original error was significant enough that transparency helps the reader.

Use the Contact page and include the page URL, the statement you believe is wrong and, when possible, a reliable source supporting the correction.
