This site separates three kinds of information: scientific astronomy, historical or cultural tradition, and modern astrological interpretation.
Scientific astronomy sources
- International Astronomical Union: official constellation boundaries and the definition of constellations as bounded areas of sky.
- NASA Science: the ecliptic as Earth’s orbital plane and the Sun’s apparent annual path.
- NASA Space Place: the difference between astronomy as a science and astrology as a cultural belief system.
Calendar and cultural sources
- Smithsonian Institution: the twelve Chinese zodiac animals and the combination of animal and five-element cycles.
- Historical astrology references: traditional rulerships, elements, modalities, houses and aspects are described as traditions, not scientific findings.

Known limitations
Astrological schools differ on rulerships, house systems, orbs, ayanamsas and interpretive methods. The site names those differences rather than presenting one school as universal.
