How to use this table
Find the sign transition nearest your birthday. If you were born before that moment, the Sun was still in the previous tropical sign. If you were born after it, the Sun had entered the new sign.
Why your local date can look different
The zodiac boundary is reached at one instant, but clocks around the world show different local times. A transition listed late at night in UTC can already be the next calendar day in Asia or still the previous day in parts of the Americas. That is why generic “starts on the 20th” tables sometimes disagree.
How these times were calculated
These are tropical-zodiac ingress times: the moments the Sun reaches 0°, 30°, 60° and the other 30-degree boundaries of the tropical zodiac. The calculations use the Swiss Ephemeris software library in its Moshier calculation mode and are rounded to the nearest minute for readability. This is different from a sidereal-zodiac calculation and different from asking when the Sun crosses official astronomical constellation boundaries.
