Why it matters
The Sun sign is the zodiac sign containing the Sun at the time used for a chart. It is the sign people usually mean when they say they are an Aries, Taurus, Gemini and so on.
Example
Someone born when the Sun is at 10° Virgo has Virgo as their Sun sign, regardless of their Moon sign or Ascendant.
Common confusion
