Why do some websites show different dates?
Many lists round an exact astronomical transition to a convenient civil date. The Sun enters the next tropical 30° sector at a specific moment, while calendar dates depend on local time zone. Leap-year patterns and the exact timing of the seasonal cycle also create small year-to-year differences.
What if your birthday is on a boundary date?
Do not choose a sign based only on two conflicting generic tables. Use the birth year and exact time with a reliable ephemeris or chart calculator. Our date-boundary methodology explains why.
Signs by month
Most months contain parts of two signs. For example, August is mainly Leo followed by Virgo; December is mainly Sagittarius followed by Capricorn. Use the Zodiac Calendar for a complete month-by-month view.
What system are these dates using?
These ranges use the tropical zodiac, which divides the ecliptic into twelve equal 30° sectors beginning at the March equinox point. They are not the same as the unequal boundaries of astronomical constellations.
